IN MEMORIAM

Capital City Cocker Club, Inc.
elcome to the Capital City Cocker Club Web Site.  CCCC is a non-profit organization for people in the Washington DC area interested in the Cocker Spaniel.  The Club publishes a newsletter, Cocker Chatter, and hosts numerous events, including Conformation Specialities, Obedience Trials,  Agility Trials, an annual Eye Clinic, and Fun Matches.
This web site is a resource for people interested in the Club, Cocker Spaniels, and the betterment of the Breed.  It contains information on the issues and activities involving the Club and the Cocker Spaniel.

The Capital City Cocker Club was founded in April, 1939 and chartered in The District of Columbia in 1940 to encourage responsible and quality breeding of purebred Cocker Spaniels, to showcase these successes in annual shows, and to promote activities that enhance the natural abilities of the cocker as a sporting, performance and companion dog.
We welcome members who will embrace these aims through support of our club and it's functions.  Our members agree to abide by our Constitution and By-Laws and to fulfill all obligations of membership in the club.

We strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club and the American Spaniel Club.

A message from the President

The core reason for the Capital City Cocker Club to exist is the same as it was when the club was created more than 70 years ago -- to promote the enjoyment of the Cocker Spaniel and the breed's many loving qualities.

Whether club members are involved in conformation, obedience, rally, agility, field work, therapy, rescue, or any other venues, the club's focus continues to be the versatility and joyfulness of our Cocker Spaniel companions.

Members are encouraged to celebrate the endeavors of those involved with Cocker Spaniels and the sport of purebred dogs, no matter where those endeavors may take them. We ask that they participate in as many club activities as their personal schedules will allow. And that they be good examples of sportsmanship and treat other members with respect and civility.

For those who are not yet members, the club invites you to come with us on our journey of the enjoyment of the Cocker Spaniel -- the smallest of the sporting dogs which have the biggest, loving hearts and a merry attitude that just never quits!

New members and ideas are always welcome. All we ask is that you love your dogs and are willing to work in the best interest of the breed, the club and purebred dogs.
